The Reading Relay: Explore, Read & Reflect

The Reading Relay, a team-based reading activity, was conducted during library periods across different classes. Students explored Rashtriya e-Pustakalaya, selected a book, read its first five pages, discussed them with their team, and prepared a short summary.

The activity promoted digital reading, comprehension, teamwork, communication, critical thinking, and summarisation skills among students.

A Day Celebrating Readers, Creativity & Young Authors! 📚

We are thrilled to share a moment of immense pride and joy for our school community! Today, we celebrated the official book release of our talented Class VII-B student, B. S. Shibaprasad Naik.

The book was officially unveiled in the presence of our respected Principal Sir and Vice Principal Sir, who commended Shibaprasad for his exceptional creativity, dedication, and literary flair at such a young age.

Authoring and publishing a book at such a young age is an exceptional feat that requires exceptional discipline, vision, and courage. Shibaprasad has shown us all that passion knows no age limits, and his triumph has ignited a brilliant wave of enthusiasm across our classrooms.

Dictionary Detective: Unlocking the World of Words

 

Dictionary Detective is an engaging library activity designed to help students develop their vocabulary and dictionary skills. Students took on the role of “word detectives” and explored the dictionary to find given words, meanings, pronunciations, synonyms, antonyms, and other interesting information.

This activity encouraged students to use the dictionary independently, improve their word-searching skills, discover new words, and develop a love for language and reading. Through this fun and interactive activity, students learned that a dictionary is not merely a book of meanings but a valuable tool for exploring the fascinating world of words.

Creative Corners: Bookmark Making Day Brings Books and Crafts to Life!

 

Our library was buzzing with joy, color, and artistic passion as students gathered for Creative Corners: Bookmark Making Day! Designed to blend the love of reading with creative expression, this special activity turned our quiet reading space into a vibrant art studio.

Students across classes participated with overflowing enthusiasm, transforming simple materials into personalized pieces of art. From colorful ribbon ties and inspirational quotes to intricate hand-drawn designs and geometric patterns, every bookmark reflected the unique imagination of its creator.

 Students explored various crafting techniques—using watercolors, calligraphic lettering, pressed designs, and recycled craft materials to build one-of-a-kind bookmarks.

 Beyond the fun of crafting, the activity served as a gentle reminder of the joy of physical books, encouraging students to pick up a novel and mark their favorite pages with their new creations.

Orientation on Career Cards for the Students of Class XI A & B

Navigating career choices at the senior secondary level can feel both exciting and overwhelming. To empower our students with clarity, direction, and structured self-discovery, an enlightening Orientation Session on Career Cards was recently organized for the students of Class XI A and B.

The session focused on introducing students to modern, interactive tools designed to streamline career planning and expand their understanding of emerging professional fields.

 Students were introduced to the concept of Career Cards, a dynamic framework that categorizes diverse career pathways, required skill sets, higher education routes, and industry trends into accessible, visually engaging profiles.

Through hands-on guidance, students learnt how to map their personal interests, strengths, and subject choices against real-world career trajectories, encouraging a proactive approach to stream selection and competitive exams.

We are delighted to welcome the Replica of the Constitution of India to our school. More than a book, it is the foundation of our democracy and a timeless guide to the values, rights, duties, and ideals that shape our nation.

This invaluable resource will inspire our students to read, understand, and respect the Constitution while helping them grow into informed, responsible, and compassionate citizens. Our teachers will play a key role in bringing its principles to life through meaningful learning and discussion.

Brainpower Unleashed at Riddle Quest

 

KV Paradip Port Library organized "Riddle Quest: Crack the Clues", an engaging activity designed to enhance students' logical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity. Students enthusiastically participated in solving a series of interesting riddles and clues that challenged their reasoning abilities.

The activity created a fun and interactive learning environment, encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and a love for intellectual challenges. Participants displayed great enthusiasm and determination while solving the puzzles.

The event was a great success, providing students with an enjoyable opportunity to learn, think creatively, and sharpen their minds through riddles and brain teasers.

The School Library conducted an Orientation Programme for the students of Class VI to introduce them to the library's facilities, resources, and services. The students were guided through different sections of the library and informed about library rules, book borrowing procedures, and the importance of reading. An interactive session helped them understand how to locate and use library resources effectively.
